Halvotec Business Breakfast
Whether a medium-sized company with 100 employees or an international group with 15,000 employees – the majority of the companies that participated in the first Halvotec Business Breakfast on July 18 have one thing in common: they are all driven by the question of how communication, collaboration and business processes can be improved in their companies with the help of Digital Workplace solutions.
Therefore, the main focus of the event was to give the participants a compact overview of the components of a Digital Workplace and to show how the design of a modern and sustainable working environment can look like by practical examples. The informal exchange between IT managers and decision makers of the regionally based companies was not neglected from the relaxed atmosphere and the rich breakfast.
The experience gained by Halvotec in numerous implementation projects of a Digital Workplace (onPremise or Cloud) were subsequently presented in lectures on the individual product solutions. The first topic was the company-wide Digital Workplace, where CEO Alexander Lerch gave deep insights into components and best practices for the implementation of a Digital Workplace. Exemplary solutions for decentralised company structures, the accesability of employees without PC workstation and mobile access from any location rounded off the contents in a practical manner.
Can’t be done doesn’t exist – in principle, communication with every employee at every workstation can be digitised in order to transmit information simultaneously, transparently and to the point. At the same time, employees from various forms of collaboration offered by the Digital Workplace.
A further goal in the introduction of a Digital Workplace can also be the saving of time and costs. Making processes more efficient and mapping them with the help of automated workflows is the linchpin of Business Process Management. Ingo Leicht, Consultant at Halvotec, gave a lecture about the functionality and the possibilities of the automation of forms and processes in the software Firestart, which can reduce working time by up to 80%.
For the administration, processing and revision-proof archiving of documents, the opportunity of a digital document management system was presented by Ulrich Vogl, also CEO of Halvotec. Thereby he gave insights into Halvotec’s own DocuWheel. The combination and interlinking of the individual, before mentioned systems, were discussed and explained.
At the end of the morning, Alexander Lerch gave an outlook into the Digital Workplace of the future. Thereby he succeeded in concretising a catchword that was still abstract for the working world and bringing it within reach: artificial intelligence, that already surrounds us, for example, in daily used programs such as MS Office. Whether KI, Office365 or Azure – there is still a lot of potential in the digitisation of the workplace.
